About the App
What is Water Quality?

Water Quality is an iOS app that provides complete mineral composition analysis for 69 bottled water brands available in Europe and worldwide. It helps you understand exactly what you're drinking โ€” minerals, pH levels, and safety grades โ€” so you can make the best choice for your health needs.

Which water brands are included?

The app includes 69 bottled water brands from Europe and worldwide. The database covers popular brands available across major European markets. You can browse the full list or search by name, origin country, or mineral characteristic directly in the app.

What does the Aโ€“E grade mean?

The Aโ€“E grade is a comprehensive quality score calculated from mineral balance across all 8 tracked minerals, pH range adherence (optimal 6.5โ€“8.5), sodium concentration, fluoride levels, and suitability for sensitive populations. Grade A (green) means excellent water quality safe for everyone including infants. Grade E (dark red) means the water fails multiple quality criteria and should be avoided for regular consumption.

Which minerals does the app track?

Water Quality tracks 8 key minerals for each brand: Calcium (bone & nerve health), Magnesium (muscle & heart function), Sodium (blood pressure indicator), Potassium (electrolyte balance), Bicarbonate (pH buffer), Sulfate (digestive function), Chloride (fluid balance), and Fluoride (dental health). Each mineral is shown with its concentration and daily intake percentage.

Where does the water data come from?

Every mineral profile is sourced directly from official brand analyses and laboratory certifications, cross-referenced with independent laboratory results where available. Safety thresholds and quality benchmarks follow guidelines from the World Health Organization (WHO), the EU Drinking Water Directive, and national food safety authorities. Baby formula safety criteria follow ESPGHAN pediatric nutrition guidelines.

How does the brand comparator work?

You can select two or more water brands and compare their complete mineral profiles, pH levels, and quality grades side by side. You can sort and filter by individual minerals, pH level, or overall quality grade to find the best water for your specific needs โ€” whether you're an athlete, managing a health condition, or choosing water for baby formula.

Privacy & Data
Is my data shared with anyone?

No. Water Quality stores all preferences exclusively on your device. No data is sent to our servers, no analytics are collected, and no third-party tracking exists. The app does not require an account or internet connection to use โ€” all water data is included locally in the app.

Does the app work offline?

Yes, completely. All 69 water brand profiles, mineral data, and grades are stored locally in the app. No internet connection is required at any time. This also means your usage is completely private โ€” nothing is ever transmitted.

Purchase & Refunds
Which languages are supported?

Water Quality supports 8 languages with full localization: German (DE), English (EN), Spanish (ES), French (FR), Italian (IT), Dutch (NL), Portuguese (PT), and Romanian (RO). Every UI element, grade explanation, and mineral description is professionally translated.
